Hemingway Assignment #1

You know what its like during the summer, at dusk, when the sun never seems to go all the way down. Feeling the chill of the evening slowly creeping up your legs. Thinking that you never have to go back to real life, just staying there in the moment of freedom, and bliss, forever. But there wasn’t as much bliss this evening as there usually is.
“I don’t understand why you have to go…you said it would be different this time.”
“I told you,” he said, trying to calm her, “I just don’t feel like we were getting along as well as we were a year ago.”
“If that’s how you feel I guess I cant do anything to make you stay, but I really wish you’d change your mind.”
“I can’t. My mind is made up,” he whispered, and slowly walked away, leaving her in tears.
